1. I will conduct myself as a True Christian by maintaining personal responsibility, leadership, teamwork and strong moral character. Christian behavior is promoted and expected at all ByzanTeen Rally activities.
2. I will project an image of Christian consideration, sensitivity and respect to all others and to the property around me. I will not disrespect my peers or rally counselors. I will listen when asked or instructed to do something and will follow leader directions.
3. I acknowledge that I am responsible for my own actions and behavior and will assume the natural consequences for any negative behavior or disturbance. I will take full responsibility for any damage or theft.
4. I will attend ALL event activities and services. I will arrive on time to all activities, including those which require me to be awake and prepare for the day in a timely manner, and will be sure to return from all breaks in a timely fashion.
5. I will not leave the Rally Site without the permission of a Rally Moderator.
6. I will not consume or be associated with any form of alcohol, marijuana, illegal drugs, controlled substances or tobacco products. I also agree not to consume any energy drinks or beverages (such as Monster, Rock Star, Red Bull, etc.) with a higher amount of caffeine/stimulant than found in regular soda or coffee.
7. I will not visit the dormitory of the opposite sex, as this is not permitted.
8. I understand that I am not permitted to visit the staff dorms.
9. I will not engage in ANY inappropriate contact, touch, gesture, language, or activity of a sexual or derogatory nature.
10. In order for everyone to get a good night’s rest, I agree to the established “lights-out” policy. “Lights-out” means I am in my dormitory bed and I will not leave the dormitory after “lightsout.”
11. I understand the Rally Staff will enforce this code of conduct and are acting in the best interest of all participants.
12. Infractions of these rules will result in the Rally Moderator discussing the infraction with me. In the unlikely event that a behavior problem requires extreme action, I understand that my parents or legal guardian will be notified immediately and I will be picked up by a parent or legal guardian, or someone designated by them with proper written authorization.
CELL PHONE POLICY
I understand that the Rally Staff wishes for the participants to focus on the spiritual and educational aspects of the Rally, and that cell phone usage (for calls, texts and data) will be limited.
I understand that the Rally Staff wants me to meet new people and make friends and that they understand the easiest way to stay in touch is to make that person a contact in my phone, or on a social website.
I understand and agree that no unauthorized pictures or videos are to be posted on social media.
I understand I may use my cell phone during free time and social activities, as well as mealtimes. In exchange for the new permissions on cell phone usage, I promise to show respect for the chaperones, facilitators and educators at the event. I promise not to use a cell phone during conferences, keynote speakers, prayer and liturgy periods. Nor will I use a cell phone during assemblies or sports and craft sessions.
I agree to cooperate and have no trouble adhering to this Code of Conduct
