On Saturday, August 17, Bishop Robert released a statement and video message regarding the move of the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist at the corner of Broadview and Snow Roads in Parma, Ohio to the Church of Holy Spirit located at 5500 West 54th Street in Parma, Ohio.

As mentioned last week, to help alleviate some of the financial strains on Dormition Parish, the Parish has been conducting a liquidation sale of furnishings, fixtures, appliances, etc., primarily from the old high school, at the property of the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. Proceeds from this sale will ensure that the Parish can continue to serve the community effectively.
Prior to the liquidation sale, all items for the Eparchial Museum were removed to another location to ensure that they would not be accidentally sold. Items for liturgical use were also excluded from the sale.
