PITTSBURGH — Michael David Kunitz is a third-year seminarian for the Eparchy of Parma. Michael entered seminary from St. Stephen Parish in Allen Park, Michigan.
He first heard the call to the priesthood while in high school and, at age 23, decided it was “worth dedicating” the rest of his life to.
He said seminary has been a humbling and forming experience.
“Our church offers something essential and worth giving our all to, even if we don’t see the fruits of it in our own lifetime,” he said. “For all the hardships we have to endure, I can’t see myself doing anything else.”
Funds from the Stewardship Appeal will help to ensure that other young men, like Michael, also can dedicate their lives in service to the church.
