On August 24-25, St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church in Whiting, Indiana celebrated 125 years! The anniversary celebrations kicked off with a Divine Liturgy presided by Bishop Robert Pipta, followed by a procession and a luncheon at Whiting Lakefront Park. The event featured family-friendly activities such as bingo, a corn hole tournament, a bouncy-house for the kids, live music, and dancing. A highlight of the day was the betrothal of seminarian Benjamin and his fiancée, Klara. The community expressed gratitude for 125 years of faith, worship, and community, thanking all who organized and attended the celebration. The day was marked by joy, fellowship, and blessings for the future.
