PARMA, Ohio — About 60 people gathered on Saturday morning, January 25, 2020, to pray at Holy Spirit Cemetery in Parma at the Memorial of Unborn Children and then participated at the Divine Liturgy.
The main celebrant, Fr. Marek Visnovsky, protosyncellus of the Eparchy, emphasized in the homily how easily we get decepted by the evil who convinces us through the thoughts, just as Adam and Eve were tricked and deceived by evil in Paradise. "We were all created in God's image and yet given a great value and dignity. Recreation of our image is possible only through Jesus Christ." he said in his homily. "God asked Adam and Eve: 'Where are you hiding? Who do you talk to?' And God is imploring also today and is asking us the same question: 'Who do you talk to? Who are you listening to? Who do you follow? Do you follow and listen to Jesus who gives life, or do you follow and listen to the one who wants to destroy the body and the soul?'"
