The Stewardship Appeal is doing very well as we enter the sixth month of the appeal. Currently, we are at 68% of our goal of $220,000 with $149,898 raised and an additional $7405 pledged. We have had 500 very generous donors.
Congratulations to these three parishes for exceeding their parish goals:
Byzantine Catholic Outreach in Iowa
St. Nicholas, Munster
Dormition of the Mother of God, Cleveland
We are reminded of how fortunate we are and of the gifts we have received from God. Of course, the most important gift is that of salvation in Jesus Christ. This salvation requires our response with sacrifice, dedication, and a sense of shared responsibility for the life of the Church and its mission on earth. Each of us has been given other great gifts – individual gifts such as our time, talents, and treasure. Our Lord Jesus Christ asks us to use our gifts for the glory of God. This is the essence of Stewardship: an awareness that everything comes from God and ultimately belongs to God.
