By joining together, the people of our Eparchy have made a difference in so many areas of the Church and around the world. This year's special collections have aided:
$4,702- Church in Central and Eastern Europe- This collection ran from February 26-27 and supported the training of seminarians and lay leaders, social service programs, youth ministry, pastoral and catechetical centers, schools, church construction and renovation, and evangelization through Catholic media in Eastern and Central Europe. Our Ruthenian Byzantine Catholic Churches in Europe directly benefitted from this USCCB Collection.
$1,734- Holy Land- This Pontifical collection took place on Good Friday and supported the Holy Places as well as the pastoral, charitable, educational, and social works which the Church supports in the Holy Land for the welfare of our Christian brethren and of the local communities.
$1,987- Catholic Home Missions- The Eparchy of Parma benefited from this USCCB Collection, that took place from May 14-15, for the financial support of our missions and outreaches including our St. Louis Mission, Omaha-Lincoln Outreach, and Iowa Outreach.
$2,285- Peter's Pence-This collection took place June 25-26 and enabled the Holy Father to respond with emergency financial assistance to requests to aid the neediest throughout the world – those who suffer as a result of war, oppression, and natural disasters.
$2,164.50- Mukačevo Shrine to Bl. Theodore Romzha- From July 23-24, the Eparchy of Mukačevo requested funds to help finish their shrine to Blessed Theodore Romzha. The Congregation for the Eastern Churches in Rome committed to matching $50,000 for this project. Please consider giving to this collection in honor of one of our great saints of modern times.
$88,851.97- Ukrainians in Need- Since February 2022, more than 10 million people have fled for their lives to neighboring countries—leaving behind loved ones, homes, jobs, and everything familiar. Your generous support continues to benefit our brothers and sisters in need in and around Ukraine during this time of war. This is an ongoing special collection.
