Sacred Heart Byzantine Catholic Parish will offer a 10-week introductory course in Biblical Greek on Saturdays, 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m., Jan. 13-March 24. Parishioner Karen Wang, who has degrees in Classics, will teach the class and cover lessons 1-7 in “A Primer of Biblical Greek,” by N. Clayton Croy. Specific topics will include: the Greek alphabet, pronunciation, accents, nouns, definite articles, pronouns, present tense verbs, prepositional phrases and adjectives, traditional prayers in koine Greek, and how Greek is used on icons and papyri.
