The centurion expresses profound faith, recognizing Jesus’ authority even from a distance. He says, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof, but only speak a word, and my servant will be healed”.
Jesus commends the centurion’s faith, saying, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!” He then heals the servant without physically going to the centurion’s house.
This Gospel passage highlights the power of faith and the authority of Jesus. It reminds us that faith transcends physical boundaries and that God’s healing grace is accessible to all who believe.
