On November 8, we celebrated the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy with Episcopal Ordination and Enthronement, also at Holy Resurrection Parish. The Most Reverend William Skurla, Metropolitan Archbishop of Pittsburgh served as principal consecrator and The Most Reverend Nil Lushchak, Apostolic Administrator of Mukachevo-Uzhgorod and The Most Reverend Kurt Burnette, Bishop of The Eparchy of Passaic, served as co-consecrators. The Ordination and Enthronement of Bishop Pipta were done in the presence of Christophe Cardinal Pierre, Apostolic Nuncio to the United States of America. In attendance were fifteen other archbishops and bishops, ninety-two priests and deacons, as well as three hundred faithful, and a seventy-six person choir.
A reception followed with invocation and blessing of food by Metropolitan Archbishop William Skurla, remarks from Bishop Francois Beyrouti of the Melkite Eparchy of Newton, and Benediction by Archbishop George Gallaro.
