The clergy and faithful of the Eparchy of Parma mourn Father Joseph Radvansky, who died Dec. 25, and celebrate his life and priestly ministry.
Community prayers and the funeral liturgy for Father Radvansky will be held Jan. 11-12.
A Parastas service will be prayed Friday, January 11, at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, 1900 Carlton Road, 6:30 p.m.
The Funeral Divine Liturgy and Panachida will be celebrated Saturday, January 12, also at the cathedral, at 10 a.m.
Father Radvansky’s remains will be interred at St. Joseph Cemetery in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, where he was born and raised.
Father Radvansky was born in 1933. He entered the seminary in 1961, and was ordained a priest by Bishop Nicholas T. Elko in 1965. A tribute to Father Radvansky’s life and ministry will be published in the next issue of Horizons.
In lieu of flowers, Father Radvansky requested donations be made to the Byzantine Catholic Seminary of Sts. Cyril and Methodius in Pittsburgh.
In blessed repose, grant, O Lord, eternal rest to your departed servant the priest Joseph and remember him forever.
