The Marriage and Family ministry of the Ruthenian Eparchy of Parma, in cooperation with the Tabor Life Institute, offers two Pre-Cana weekends each year.
The Fall Session will take place November 2-3 at Annunciation Byzantine Catholic Church in Homer Glen, IL.
The Spring Session will take place May 3-4 at St. John’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Solon, OH.
This preparation for marriage according to the Byzantine Rite is a two-day event that helps couples see marriage and their relationship to one another in a whole new light. The fee for the weekend is $200 per couple and includes program fees and some meals. Accommodations are the couple’s responsibility.
If a man and a woman marry to satisfy their sexual appetites, or to further the material aims of themselves or their families, then the union is unlikely to bring blessings.
