From October 21 to 25, the clergy of the Eparchy of Parma and chancery staff convened at the St. Paul of the Cross Passionist Retreat Center in Detroit, Michigan, for an enriching Eparchial Conference. The week commenced with an inspiring session led by Fr. Jager, followed by an insightful introduction to marriage and a proposed marriage and family program for the Eparchy by Fr. Loya.
A significant highlight of the conference was the participation in a relationship intelligence course. This course, grounded in prevention and resiliency, provides evidence-based resources for educators, programs, and therapists, aimed at fostering healthy and happy relationships. The Eparchy intends to integrate these valuable insights and methodologies into its own marriage preparation programs.
Throughout the week, attendees had ample opportunities for prayer, fellowship, and reflection. A notable excursion included a visit to the All Saints Shrine at Sacred Heart Byzantine Catholic Church in Livonia. The conference concluded with comprehensive updates from the finance and development offices, along with general reports from eparchial leadership.
