On September 17-18, 2022, Bishop Milan participated in the Catechist Meeting for Great Lakes Deanery at Sacred Heart Byzantine Catholic Church in Livonia, Michigan.
Twenty-two catechists were present at the meeting with Bishop Milan as well as six priests: Fr. Bob Stash, Fr. Jim Batcha, Fr. Mychail Rozmarynowycz, Fr. John Russell, Fr. Joseph Marquis, and Fr. Mykhailo Solianyk; and three deacons: Dc. Jim Sofalvi, Dc. Paul Latcha, and Dc. Lawrence Hendricks. Following the format of the previous Catechist Meetings, the weekend included prayer, a talk by Bishop Milan, presentations by Dr. Ralph Martin and Fr. Rozmarynowycz, as well as fellowship. The weekend was an opportunity for the formation and community of the catechists in the Great Lakes Deanery, and the catechists were enthusiastic and happy to meet, and they expressed a desire to meet multiple times a year and invite parents to meet as well since they are the catechists to their families.
